Pomona needs you at the June 4th Pomona City Council meeting to let the city know how you feel about the destruction of 3 downtown blocks for the Watt-Genton project. The Historic Commission did not approve the request for demolition and the developer will appeal that decision at that council meeting. The buildings up for demolition begin at Yesteryear’s and end at 455 W. 2nd. Our hope is to save the exterior of the buildings, thereby saving the historic atmosphere of the downtown without stopping the project. We need to show the council how many of us care about the preservation of historic Pomona. Without your visible support the council will feel no urgency to deny this appeal. Be there!
City Council Chambers are located at 505 S. Garey Avenue between City Hall and the Library. The critical meeting will be at 7pm June 4th and your presence is vital. Call the Historical Society at 909-623-2198 for more information.
Can't make the meeting?
You can still help! Call, email and fax all of our City Council Members to let them know where you stand on the destruction of beautiful downtown Pomona:
